adidas by Rick Owens 2016 Spring/Summer Collection

After a rogue, politically-inclined model nearly derailed the designer’s Spring/Summer 2016 runway show, Rick Owens has unveiled his corresponding set of seasonal footwear alongside adidas. Marked by the return of the fan-favorite Runner and Superstar Ripple Boots, the range is highlighted by the inclusion of two brand new Runner-inspired silhouettes: the Cargo Sandals and Clog. Making use of the Runner’s distinctive sole unit, both silhouettes offer a luxurious leather footbed and military-inspired nylon upper while the Cargo takes the martial cues a step further by employing a zippered ankle strap and utilitarian MA-1 pocket.

The Spring/Summer 2016 adidas by Rick Owens collection will be made available in both men’s and women’s sizes beginning next February.

New Music: Soundz “Kissing On Your Neck”

kissingonyourneck

You may not have heard of Soundz, but his production has rang loud on your speakers before. The producer has worked with the likes of Trey Songz, Rae Sremmurd, Kid Ink, Chris Brown and that’s just this year and last. Now he’s looking to showcase his solo work as an artist and he’s taking it to the R&B side of things for “Kissing On Your Neck.” Instead of coming with that club sound, he flips it and brings a crazy baby making record for the ladies. Stay tuned for his Slow Ain’t Dead EP to drop later this year.

The Yeezy Boost 350 is Reselling for Over $1,000 USD

Called by some writers an “insane inevitability,” the Yeezy Boost 350 has been reported as being resold for as high as $1,000 USD on eBay after its public release over the weekend. The news comes after a fiasco surrounding adidas’ Confirmed app, which effectively roadblocked interested buyers from reserving and purchasing a pair during the initial rollout. Accordingly, anticipation built. The irony of the situation still remains in West’s original tenet that his footwear collection would be easily accessible to his supporters and fans, but with online inventory selling out in under ten seconds and European and Canadian audiences finishing off the remaining stock worldwide, it seems as if the dark side of sneaker re-selling has reared its head into the release. For now, the answer for the Yeezy-less may be to try their hand at the resale marketplace, but hopefully adidas will sate would-be buyers in the coming weeks.

'Jenkem Magazine' Skate and Destroy the Yeezy Boost 350

The folks over at Jenkem Magazine have done the “unthinkable”: skated in a pair of coveted Yeezy Boost 350 sneakers. In an act to display the vanity; unparalleled levels of fan frenzy and ensuing paranoia associated with simply purchasing a pair of sneakers designed by Kanye West, a skater is shot taking the low top models for a spin out in the streets of New York. Mentally prepare yourself for exaggerated foot drags; skating through muddy puddles, and an assortment of other over the top antics in a successful effort to “trash” the sneakers, which literally concludes with the act of tossing the sneakers in a trash can. Considering the fact that the sneakers are fetching over $1000 USD on online retailers such as eBay, let us know how you feel about Jenkem’s latest skate endeavor below.
