With a “Light Bone” colorway of the Air More Uptempo already set to hit stores next month, Nike is adding to the Uptempo family with the announcement of a “University Blue” colorway of the sneaker. The shoe sees a baby blue leather used for the majority of the upper, with the color leaking onto the laces and part of the mid and outsole. Nike’s branding is visible in a variety of different spots, appearing below the heel, on the back, and twice underneath the sole.

SELETTI & Studio Job Team Up for a Food-Inspired Furniture Collection

As part of this year’s MAISON&OBJECT exhibit in Paris, Italian design firm SELETTI and Amsterdam-based Studio Job have teamed up to create a line of food-inspired furniture. The collection sees couches, chairs, and cushions take the form of hot dogs and hamburgers, using a handful of different materials to recreate the foods. The playful set is part of SELETTI’s transition into creating upholstered furniture, something creative director Stefano Seletti told Design Boom is a big step forward.

Doing upholstered products for SELETTI is a huge achievement, but obviously, I had to approach the matter my way. My way is never a normal one…we will surely explore other typologies in the future, I think we are ready to do that but we will take all the time we need, because we will need to find the right innovative approach. We decided to go big presenting this new adventure with the upholstered furniture.

With no word on when the SELETTI and Studio Job’s food-inspired furniture collection will be available, keep tabs on SELETTI’s website for more information and view some of the studio’s other works.

Tri-City 4

Cyclones 1

Aug. 19 in Tri-City

Make it eight in a row!

Cyclones starter Luis de los Santos had a not-so-stellar outing on the mound, allowing four hits and three runs in two-and-two-thirds innings pitched, and the Cyclones’ bats mustered up 10 hits but just one run as our boys lost their eighth straight game and were eliminated from the playoffs.

The Valleycats wasted no time getting on the board. In the bottom of the first, Bryan de la Cruz hit a lead-off solo home run. Two innings later, Adrian Tovalin hit a single with bases loaded to score J.J. Matijevic and Jonathan Arauz to make it 3–0.

The Cyclones got on the board a short while later. Jeremy Vazquez was walked to lead off the sixth then advanced to second off a wild pitch. Carl Stajduhar then grounded out to advance Vazquez to third before Scott Manea singled to score Vazquez to make it 3–1.

The ValleyCats added an insurance run one inning later. With runners on the corners, Miguelangel Sierra singled to score De La Cruz to make it 4–1.

The loss puts the Cyclones at 15–41 on the season, last place in the McNamara Division.

Now that the Cyclones have won the “Battle for the Basement,” our boys will start the “Drive for 20” — a grass-roots push to have them win at least 20 games.

We need five wins, folks, and it all starts today agains Tri-City in Tri-City (wherever that is) tonight at 5 pm.

iPhone 8's Wireless Charger Is Reportedly Going to Be Sold Separately

Another day, another iPhone 8 rumor. The latest rumor surrounding Apple’s next iPhone comes via Apple expert John Gruber. Gruber states the iPhone 8 will include a wireless charger, however the station would be sold separately.

Showing up on Chinese social media channel Weibo, leaked images of Apple’s wireless charger have appeared. The upcoming iPhone 8 will be the first Apple phone to include the technology, which allows users to power-up their device without plugging it in by placing it on an inductive surface. It’s also believed the wireless charger stations could also be for the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus.

Though it hasn’t been confirmed that the iPhone 8 will indeed include wireless charging, Robert Hwang, chief executive of Apple supply chain company Wistron revealed earlier this year that it will stating, “New features like waterproof and wireless charging now require some different testing, and waterproof function will alter the assembly process a bit.”

The iPhone 8 is also expected to include an OLED screen, facial recognition, an edge-to-edge display and no home button. Keep it locked here for more details. Ahead of its reported fall release, check out all the latest expected features and release date of the iPhone 8.
