Adam West Has Passed Away

Adam West has passed away from what doctors and family members are calling a brief bout with leukemia. The actor, whose career spanned over seven decades, was 88 years old. West made his big break playing the eponymous role in Batman, bringing Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego, The Caped Crusader, to life on both the small and big screens. With its over-the-top campiness, West was known for creating the BatDance, The Batusi, and tussling with rubber sharks.

After Batman‘s cancellation after just two seasons, West saw his career fall into a typecast rut. West turned down the role of James Bond in Diamonds Are Forever, maintaining that the role should always be filled by a British actor, as he wrote in his autobiography, Return to the Batcave. His career lagged until later in life, when his voice acting talents came into high demand; West found fame portraying fictionalized versions of himself in both The Simpsons and Family Guy, wherein he portrayed the often-frustrated Mayor of Quahog.

It is with a heavy heart that we bid goodbye to the Original Batman and Mayor Adam We. He will be missed.

Songzio's 2018 Spring Summer Collection Takes an Introspective Look at Male Emotions

South Korean designer Zio Song has been one of Asia’s most influential voices in fashion since his debut in 1993. While working closely with famous South Korean actors and pop stars, Song helped introduce the black suit the main stream in the country and is credited for playing a large park in South Korea’s embracing of high end fashion. While he got famous through the simplicity of the black suit, Song’s designs for Songzio’s 2018 spring summer collection are designed with more patterns and colors to take on a more difficult task.

The collection is inspired by the phrase “Man, in his night, searches for his own light.” To represent this, Song set out to showcase a man trapped from exploring his own emotions by placing his subject behind pinstripes and horizontal bars, alluding to a type of emotional prison. The theme of stripes is very dominant in the collection, finding it’s way onto a handful of jackets, shirts, trousers and shorts. To balance out the collection, Song has also included a series of slim-fitting formal wear, including an all-black two-piece suit with rounded edges around the shoulders. The collection is finished off with open toed sandals with leather straps. View the full collection above.
